Radius T° sensors are indicated for use on adults and children ages 5 and up. The sensors should not be used by people who experience allergic reactions to adhesive tape.

Yes, a smartphone equipped with Bluetooth® is necessary to use Radius T°.

Radius T° is compatible with Android and iOS devices:

  • Apple
    • iOS 11.0 and up
    • Display Size 4.7" and up
  • Android
    • Android 6.0 and up
    • Display Size 4.7" and up

Search for “Masimo SafetyNet” in the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).

While Radius T° is in use, the Masimo SafetyNet app must be connected to Wi-Fi or have cellular internet connection to transfer data from the device to the Clinician Portal.

The sensor must be within Bluetooth range of your phone to receive data. This distance can be up to 100 feet maximum with direct visual line of sight between the sensor and your phone.

Yes, the app can run in the background and continue to receive data collected from the sensor. However, do not quit the app or your temperature session will disconnect.

The app can only be paired with one sensor at a time. If you pair your mobile phone to a new sensor, any active connection to another sensor will be lost.

Yes. If a patient chooses to share their data with a friend or family member, that person can track the patient's information. Friends and family must download the app and can be invited to join via a patient’s CareProgram.

Each sensor lasts for up to 8 days of continuous use. The light on the sensor will flash orange when the sensor battery is low. A flashing red light indicates the sensor battery is out of power and is no longer transmitting data.

The sensor is water resistant (IP24 rating) – the sensor can be worn in the shower but do not submerge in water or any other liquid solution.

To remove the sensor, gently peel off the adhesive from the skin.

Radius T° sensors are designed for removal and reapplication no more than one time over the life of the product. To re-apply: (1) Clean and dry the sensor application site. (2) Gently wipe the exposed sensor adhesive with an alcohol wipe and allow it to dry to restore the adhesive properties. (3) Follow the steps in the Apply Sensor section of your Setup Instructions. Each sensor should only be used on a single person.

Dispose of used Radius T° sensors in accordance with local laws for the disposal of products containing electronic components.

The light on the sensor indicates battery status and whether it is paired with your phone:

  • Sensor power is off.
  • Confirm plastic pull tab has been removed to activate the battery.
  • Replace the sensor.
Green flashing
  • Sensor is on and waiting to pair with your mobile phone.
  • Follow instructions to pair with your mobile phone
Blue flashing
  • Sensor is waiting for you to confirm that the desired sensor was paired to your mobile phone.
  • Verify the sensor is properly attached to the wearer’s body so that mobile phone can receive data.
Blue solid
  • Successful pairing of sensor and mobile phone.
  • Mobile phone successfully receiving data.
 
Orange flashing
  • Low sensor battery.
  • Consider replacing the sensor.
Red flashing
  • Depleted sensor battery.
  • Hardware or sensor failure, sensor blinking board failure code.
  • Replace the sensor.

Your data can be accessed by healthcare professionals who have added you to a CareProgram via email or text invitation, as well as individuals you’ve granted access via the Masimo SafetyNet App. 

Note that certain Masimo personnel have access to the data cloud for maintenance purposes only.

Your sensor stores historical temperature measurements which are communicated to the Masimo SafetyNet app when your phone is in range with and connected to the sensor.

No personally identifiable information (PII) is stored on the Radius T° Sensor. Any user profile information you enter is only saved on the phone within the Masimo SafetyNet app and is never sent to the sensor, nor is that information shared with Masimo.

Yes, you can share your health data with family members. To do so, you can invite them to view your data on the Masimo SafetyNet App home screen. To enable this functionality, you must have a wifi or cellular data connection. See the Quick Reference Guide.

Masimo follows HIPAA regulations for data privacy. HIPAA is a federal law that sets a national standard to protect medical records and other personal health information. Data is secured using encryption between the sensor and your mobile phone, as well as between the phone and the Masimo SafetyNet cloud.
